Blackford Hill Blipmeet

I am very lax at looking at the Blip forums these days. However, I had a wee browse this morning and realised there was a blipmeet, organised by MollyCollie, taking place just 2 hours later in Edinburgh. A quick text to the 42's to see if they were going (they were), Ethan, Granny, Grandpa and Aunty Judith were bundled in the car and off we went!

Despite having lived in the Lothians for 21 years now, I've never been up Blackford Hill before. It was lovely but VERY windy. Also not a good idea taking the pushchair! (Ethan had just woken up when we arrived and I assumed the tarmac path went all the way to the top ... soon found out it doesn't)! Was really nice to meet some other blippers again, although we didn't stay too long due to the winds. Ethan was especially pleased to see Miss42 again and also seemed very taken with Molly herself and her other canine pals.

We then headed into town to check out the festivities in and around Princes Street. Ethan had his first shot on a (mini) rollercoaster which he loved! We also had a lovely lunch in the restaurant at the National Gallery, which was lovely, although a tad expensive!

All in all, a very nice day indeed.
