Festival Balls

Had a meeting around the corner from Festival Square this morning. I've walked past these objects hundreds of times without paying too much attention because they are placed well out of the way of the main thoroughfare across the Square. However, now I have my Blip radar on all the time so thought these fella's were a worthy subject.

It's probably fair to say that nobody really knows what to do with this space, for years there was a fountain there but now it's just an open space with these spheres pushed up against the Sheraton. Now I've looked at them properly I think it's a bit of a shame as they deserve a bit more attention paid to them.
