Happy New Year

This was taken shortly after midnight. It is not a multiple exposure but a single exposure of three mad people with sparklers. You should have seen the out takes..... New Year for me is traditionally spent with friends in Sydney watching the fireworks. Last year was in an apartment and the views were something like this. This year was at the regular house in Cremorne but the trees had really grown and so the view was like this. Trisharooni got one of the 9 pm fireworks in a much better location, see here. Next year we are planning a better vantage point - maybe even mixing it with the hoy polloy. It was nice however not to have to fight the traffic after the fireworks. So today was a quiet day. The weather was fantastic. Now back in Newcastle. Last day of holidays and then back to work on Tuesday....
