Headless bullfinch?

Darn, I thought I'd stumbled upon a rare species of Bullfinch here but no - just a lonely rosehip (at least I think so...)

Last day of the holidays and I'm not feeling too down about going back to work for once. Perhaps that's because we're now in January and at this time of year I'm always optimistic that we'll get snow. I love snow, it's good for the soul. Having said that, this unseasonably warm weather is putting a dampener on that for the time being.

So, back to work tomorrow. I wonder how long I can stick to my resolution - only working during allocated hours....it's teaching though so could prove to be a challenge.
