Slow way home

Monday 2 January 2012: A touch of Swiss in Argentina

Today we strolled the streets of Bariloche allowing our bodies to recover from the exertions of the Patagonia trek. Bariloche is a very pretty town with more than a striking resemblance to Switzerland with its chocolate shops, alpine architecture and St Bernhard dogs.

It was a slow day on the photo front so I snapped this shot from our apartment window. It shows the Cathedral by the Lake and the main street called "Mitre" all lit up for the evening festivities.

Tomorrow we will put our packs back on for a day hike to a nearby lake and waterfall.
