Northerly Nairn

A northerly gale was blasting Arctic winds onto Nairn beach today. Chilly but refreshing. The statue is of a 'herring girl' at Nairn harbour as in 1900's Nairn was a large herring port. There's a large tanker waiting at anchor off Cromarty for the winds to ease before venturing into the oil terminal at Nigg.
