Friday 6 January 2012: Abdullah
Found this little chap earlier today in his knitted outfit, skipping all the way home with his piece of bread.
I had been talking with Abdullah's father in his workshop in Qorna, having met him as I walked around his village on my way to the Ramessium Temple.
He showed me exquisite drawings that he converted into replica Pharoanic miniatures, all made by hand from soap stone. 25 years he has been doing this and now successfully exports them.
Another day I will Blip them, but I was just so taken with Abdullah, his blonde hair, the colourful knitted suit and his singing as we all walked to his house, I wanted to share this little persons happiness with you.
