Sunday 8 January 2012: Skin and blister
One of my two younger sisters came to visit today, on her way back to university after the Christmas holidays. What an amazing thing it is to see how a person has grown up, and all their talents, curiosity, experience, enthusiasm and creativity. Their unjaded and uncynical love for what's around them. Their desire to know, see and feel the world. Their capacity for adventure and learning. At a point when all my hours seem to be preoccupied with thoughts of the baby, seeing how a person can and has developed from a child to a lovely adult is wonderful.
