As I had a spare half hour over lunch time today I popped into see the refurbished National Portrait Gallery and very nice it was too.

It's nice and bright with a very unstuffy ambiance but formal enough not let you get a feel for the portaits. I only had the time for a quick wander around the Photography Gallery which has some really iconic early images.

Highly recommended - will have to have lots of return visits.
