Back home today from our brief trip to Sanday.

We didn't have much luck with the weather. But we had a great time all the same and hopefully on our next visit we'll have some sunshine so that we can enjoy the wonderful white (empty!) beaches.

After a week of cycling, everything felt pretty tired on the way back to the ferry. So I was glad to have the excuse of some photographic opportunities so that I could have a wee rest.

I heard the other day that on each stage of the Tour de France a cyclist will burn up the same amount of calories as 27 Mars Bars. I have no idea how many calories I have burnt up but I am doing my best to replace them...!
