Friday 13 January 2012: Winter afternoon
I love the view down this street in the afternoon at this time of year. The sun is setting behind the cathedral at the other end of the street and the light can be magical. I know I've taken it before, but this time I resisted to temptation to zoom in close and instead went for a wider angle that included the cars and other buildings in the street, and a lot of that lovely sky, soaring up over my head. It's a simple view, down a well-known street, but I like it.
I had set out to take some pictures of some of the 'phototrail' markers there are across the city centre, but having taken three of them decided this view trumped them all.
