Saturday 7 January 2012: Microcosm
Spent the morning at a free medical clinic with some second year students and physicians. It was awesome. Got to take patient histories and get their chief complaint... through translators, of course, because none of the patient's spoke English.
I really want to learn Spanish. Desperately. I want to live elsewhere.. work elsewhere.. speak languages other than my own. That sounds so wonderful to me. Maybe one day.
After the clinic, came back to study. My apartment is a wreck, but it's more like an ordered chaos. I have too many couch pillows, haven't put my Christmas ornaments back up, and nowhere to put all the extraneous paper compiling on my counter. I do love my apartment so much though. I'll organize it at some point.
Movie night and Thai food tonight!
