Sunday 15 January 2012: Solo tango in San Telmo

Another scorcher today with the mercury hitting about 33 degrees. 2 new barrios to explore in the morning - La Boca and San Telmo and then cooling down in the Palermo parks in the afternoon.

First up was a scenic bus ride to La Boca, in the southern, working class suburbs. Famous for the very colorful houses on El Camanito it was invaded by tourists from the cruise ships taking in a tango show and a bite to eat.

We then moved slightly north to San Telmo to experience their Sunday antiques market. The architecture of the area was stunning with art-deco styles dotted all around.
Street performers were entertaining including this solo tangoist dancing with his shadow.
