Monday 23 January 2012: pollen
In the kitchen is a vase of lilium and mimosa.
Now fully opened, the stamens are beginning to drop their pollen, scattering it in powdery, sticky, ochre coloured specks on the petals.
It's amazing to think that these tiny little grains can give one terrible hayfever or be a useful tool for catching bad guys!!
