Sunday 5 February 2012: From me

I was intending to take some snaps inside the old stand at Tynecastle. Which I did. But somehow they had no drama, y'know. They were flat. So here's a photo on the way to the ground. I remember my first Hearts game so clearly; it was May 1963 in the Summer Cup against Dunfermline. And Dad and I walked down the same steps I now do to every game. Of course, Dad didn't take me up to the Athletic Arms; in fact he took me away before the winning goal so he wouldn't get caught in the traffic. As my kids would say, rubbish Dad!
Actually today, rubbish Hearts. Very poor. It took a couple of pints to revive my spirits. And another couple to forget all about how rubbish they were. May 1963? From Me to You? Mmmmm lovely!
