Upside Down

In a small bird bath, the reflection of an English Oak tree is caught.

It is said to be 120 years old. In our town, there are quite a few of these ancient ones; they are protected and is regarded as national monuments.
They mostly adorn the pavements, but can become quite a threat when the wind is blowing and their huge branches snap.

We have had problems in this respect a few years ago when snapped branches virtually demolished our front gate ... fortunately the local Municipality agreed to get rid of the menacing branches that hung and spread over our house's roof ...

This tree has begun to display the new leafy growth , as our next summer is approaching.
We also had a few cloudless days, full of sunshine - we call it 'champagne days', because they litteraly sparkle ...
