Blue Stripes!

The sun shone all day here...it was bright and beautiful.

Not too much going on here at Big Hill. I'm just make lots of mugs, made another 36 today...i am totally dedicated to having a lovely big stash of bisqued mugs, cups and other stuff....so that when the busy season hits, mid june, i won't be going crazy! I can stock pile them and then have enough to do a glaze kiln more often! One bisque kiln load gives me almost 2 glaze kilns. i've been a full time potter for over 26 years...and probably 20 of those years i made this very same commitment....and usually it didn't happen! other things got in the way, wholesale shows in February, then making the product for those orders taken then. Teaching filled in a lot of time, cos it was access to well needed money! So, the pressures are not as great as in the past, so i have the luxury of plodding away - enjoying the process! one damn thing tho....my cd player seems to be on the fritz.....i need music, so probably means trying to find a new one in the next day or two!!! Do they even still make cd players, with tape and radio??? i refuse to get involved in the whole ipod thing....i won't do it!!! mind you i seem to remember saying the same thing when cds took over from tapes !
