Thursday 9 February 2012: Friendship

Daughter #2 has been given the starter for a German friendship cake (Herman).

Herman is a sourdough cake mixture which you nurture for 9 days and then divide into 4 equal parts, keep one to cook and give the other 3 parts away to friends.

Today is day 4 and daughter #2 had to add a cup each of plain flour, sugar and milk. I'm looking forward to the end result
