Monday 20 February 2012: Eucalyptus
Various types of Eucalyptus grow well in Argyll and, as a bonus, are meant to deter midges though I suspect you would need a forest of them to have an appreciable effect.
This one, in our very grey and wet garden (at least today) , was blown down by a gale five years ago. But part of it re-rooted itself and carried on growing. Now it is bigger than ever.
A quick lunch time blip as I have been doing constituency letters and emails since early morning and will be doing them till late at night. A two hour surgery will easily produce six or more hours of follow up work.
