Wednesday 22 February 2012: Evernia in the forest margin

Forest margins are great environments and often rich in species.

This lichen -Oakmoss or Evernia prunastri- is such a beauty! It's widely used in the perfume industry, but this specimen has escaped being harvested...

If you look carefully you can also spot the Drumstick lichen in this blip.
