~Twin Gully Washers~

~Sonoran Desert Arizona~

This weather never ceases to amaze me.
It seems to produce the most wonderful shapes.
And the most glorious colors and shades.
Especially around sunset.
These are two separate thunderstorms.
Moving in unison across the high desert.

Don't know what a gully is?
It's a dry river bed cut into the landscape.
Usually it has very steep sides and a sandy bottom.
When water rushes through it, the gully is scoured.
Clean! No rocks, vegetation or animals are left.
The animals should have sense enough to get out.
But not the poor rocks or plants.
So don't hide in one of these during a thunderstorm.
They will be looking for you about 10 miles away.
