St Mary's, Birkin

We visited Mary today and then dropped in at Birkin Church on the way home where Tony and Mary's parents are buried. The Church dates from around 1150 and apparently the writer Pevsner called it a, 'Complete Norman Village Church.' The apse and doorway are 'fine examples of Norman work.' It is indeed very pretty and in a lovely setting.
