Snape Maltings

Went to Sizewell today but decided that a Blip of a nuclear power station was a waste!

This is Snape Maltings, we used to sail up here and anchor on the mud banks and go and get locked in at the 'Plough and Sail'!

It is also famous for its association with Benjamin Britten but I prefer the association with the pub!!

It is a beautiful and serene place and because of the early morning sun it was impossible to blip well. The Thames barge sitting on the mud is an indication of what it must have been like as a commercial port dispatching grain from the UK to Europe!
