Something old, something newish

This is Richmond Railway Bridge (Closed this morning to cause commuter chaos on a Monday!) and in the background Twickenham Bridge - As to how they get named I have no answers!.

As the plaque says the bridge was built by the Horseley Engineering Company and is a great example of Victorian engineering. Some additional history here ...http://www.gracesguide.co.uk/Horseley_Co

As to the more modern road bridge built in 1933 - it is actually also a Grade 2 listed construction as well to prevent unsympathetic building!!

Wonders will never cease
