Having missed the opportunity of getting my feet off the ground today I had to console myself with a couple of trips to the common.
Inevitably, having discovered a way to determine speed from a sound recording by using a program that analyses Doppler effect, I found myself doing a few low passes at full throttle. It works out at about 80mph. If I'm going to get to the magical ton I'll have to throw some more money at it.
Whilst I was there I met a very interesting bloke experimenting with an autopilot system on his model. That's what I enjoy about this stuff - it attracts slightly eccentric (in a good way) dabblers.
