The Edge of the Wold

Ghost

It was our first full day with my Dad in Southampton today. The time seemed to vanish while we were getting a few things done in the house, taking him for a hair cut, and then the shops (mainly the 99p shop and Poundstretcher). By the time I went for a walk at Eling, the light was vanishing, and I thought this would be another No Egrets blip day. There were two egrets feeding around the creek, both in grumpy and uncooperative mood. So in the end I decided to go with the conditions and settle for a blurry flight shot of one with its ghostly reflection.

In the evening we cooked Dad a roast dinner, something he doesn't have very often. He certainly has a healthy appetite.

This is the first of the back blips to go on, in no particular order. There will be a few gaps though, the last few days before we headed south were busy at work and the light was drab.
