Wednesday 29 February 2012: Comings and Goings
The pied billed grebe is one of our winter birds, and won't be around much longer. Meanwhile, some spring flowers are starting to appear, such as lupine and wild onion.
We had a rainy day today, which is good since our rainfall is about 30% of normal. Though also not good, since it's cold and wet.
