Sootys sheltering

There is always someone who stands out from the crowd, in this case, the sooty oystercatcher. The weather has been appalling which is why the sensible sootys have their beaks under cover. This lone one is pretending nothing is amiss but his/her feathers are covered in rain drops so he/she is not fooling anyone. It was 20C today. I put the bad weather down to my boasting of our good weather while the rest of the state was under water. The weather gods revenge has now caught up with us.

I am behind again in comments and will be catching up soon. Friday evening again. Yippee.
