Tassels

Went for a walk lunchtime to a nearby shop - a route I hadn't taken for quite a long time, through a residential area. It's lovely to see the gardens with spring bursting forth (with city temperatures being that much warmer than the open, rural area where I live, things are always much more advanced there - though I'd far rather wait longer and live where I do!)
Keeping a watch for potential blips, my eye was taken by these lovely pink & white 'tassels' on a shrub by the roadside. - each one must be about 1ft long. I've no idea exactly what the shrub is (though I suspect there may be one or two out there who can tell me!) I thought it was VERY pretty :))
