Wednesday 7 March 2012: The Pavilion

People say was in use as early as the 50s until it closed in the early 70s. Bands played, parties were had. Polish Hops - polkas, accordions. There was an attempt to bring it back to life in the 80s but by then it was surrounded by houses and the road to it is small and unpaved. The Township probably foresaw a lot of problems and refused permission.

The Beloved says he sees ghosts there, and I completely understand.
If you stare at it long enough I am sure you'll hear fragments of music, see faint figures dancing, the cool breeze from Lake Brownwood in their hair.

I would love to explore a bit inside, and listen to the walls :)

And on another high note: my man is going to be working day shifts again. That means we'll get to hang out more than half an hour in the morning and half an hour in the afternoon (if that); it means we'll get to have dinner together and everything! WOOT!
