Challenge day 10: Loud

Possibly not what you would expect as a the visual depiction of loud...!

Took a short walk in Eglinton Park today while Shortie was away on a nature club trip.

You'd think a country park would be relatively quiet. But when you're actually listening out for anything you can define as "loud", there's plenty of noise.

A fast road runs close by, and when the trees are bare, you can hear the noise of cars for a good way in to the park.

There's a great deal of bird noise at the minute, and I'm always impressed at how far small birds can project their song.

The wind in the trees, dogs running about, the squelch of my feet on the muddy path.

The loudest thing I could hear, by far, was the weir, which was flowing fast with the water we've been graced with this week.

Despite all this, I've gone with these trees, which made no noise at all, because I love their colour and the contrast of angles.
