Hong Kong

After 25 hours travelling we arrived here in Hong Kong this afternoon. The flight was OK but BA's best days are definitely behind them. In comparison, the train in from the airport was excellent, with wonderful sea views and a courtesy bus at Kowloon Station waiting to take us to our hotel.

After a quick shower we strolled down to theTsim Sha Tsui promenade to take in the wonderful view of Hong Kong Island. The temperature was still in the mid twenties and a steamy mist hung over the island. I was wishing I had taken the big camera as the wee compact was not really up to the the low light conditions. So apologies for a rather poor quality touristy snap of a junk, well floating restaurant, with the Island in the background.

We hung around until it was dark when there was a ten minute music and laser light show over the harbour. The lights got lost a bit in the mist, which lessened its impact, although it was still well worth seeing.

By the time we found somewhere to eat the jet lag was kicking in, so it was a quick meal and back to the hotel for an early night.
