MCS's Head Boy ....

We are so proud of you! There are not many Head Boys who will leave his comfortable seat with the other prefects to grab an umbrella and join his little sister and her Gr3 friends to protect them against the drizzle, which turned into quite a nice rainfall about 30 minutes later. Luke, we are so proud of you, you are such a stalwart!! He is the one holding the umbrella, in the middle of the picture.

We had 'Slip, Slap Slop' day as well, learners brought money to raise funds for 'CANSA' (The Cancer Association of South Africa) and were allowed to wear a hat of choice, shades and sandals with their school uniform. We raised an average of R10,00 per learner, which is really remarkable!

We celebrated the end of 'Afrikaans Week' as well today, by inviting an Afrikaans singer to entertain the whole school at a combined assembly. Everyone enjoyed it tremendously, and lots of children joined in the middle of the amphitheatre to dance to the pulsing rhythm! Lots and lots of fun was had by all!

It was a surprisingly chilly and rainy day, heavenly!!
