Tuesday 13 March 2012: Lobelia cardinalis - Cardinal flower
Just what I needed... a few hours of tranquility after a couple of weeks of go, go, go.
A fairly quiet day with only a handful of visitors to the garden. Weather wise it was a lovely day with hardly a ripple on the lake and the reflections set deep in the water.
Lotus plants have not done well this year but are still throwing fabulous reflections to inspire even a jaded eye. This lobelia showing vivid against a jade coloured reflection of the Teahouse roof caught my eye when I first arrived at the gardens and so stands up to be my blip of today.
