Tuesday 20 March 2012: Cheap skate or bargain hunter?
I hate hate hate all the money making commercialism of mothers/fathers/valentines day, where retailers rip you off by marking up their prices for the week before so they can laugh at us all while heading to the bank with a pocket full of our hard earned cash... I always tell Paul and the girls not to buy me flowers around these times and suprise me at other times when they are not being ripped off!
Well, let me tell you, Tesco got it wrong this year, their stack 'em high policy fell flat this year....I've never seen so many reduced priced flowers on a Monday morning in all my life, I went for the cheapest just so I could fill my trifle bowl but for a £1 I got 5 packs of daffs, each with two bunches of 5 in ....that's 50 daffs for a quid...Bargain!!!
