Rippling Reflections

While standing on the aqueduct of the canal with Miss Flum, waiting for a veteran diesel engine to pass on the line nearby, I noticed how the reflection of the railings on the opposite side shimmered as the breeze rippled the surface of the water. I tried taking a photo or two, thinking they might make an abstract blip.

Then a duck swam through and the reflections went a bit mad - and created an even more abstract effect.

I couldn't decide whether to blip this one, or this or maybe this instead. Do look in large for the full effect.

So I can't blip the photo of the 'prentice pillar in Rosslyn Chapel, (photography is not normally allowed) where we heard a wonderful concert of early Scottish music sung by the Heriot-Watt Chamber choir, but here it is anyway.
