Tea Room - Falls of Feugh

By Saturday life has returned to normal. It is a sunny day inland, though next to the sea there is a slight haar in the morning.

Went inland in an endeavour to escape the haar. Stopped at the Falls of Feugh Tea Room for a coffee, and perhaps more importantly a meringue. These are deliciously large with lots of cream and a definite sugar boost.

The stream on the left is a salmon river, and in the appropriate season it is quite an attraction to watch the salmon leaping. The falls are just behind where I am standing. It is a massive struggle for the salmon. People cheer them on in their attempts to get over the falls. Though some must succeed (I never saw a successful leap) there must be some that never make it.

In the afternoon visited the gardens at Crathes Castle. It is nice to see all the plants coming back to life. There are lots of Daffodils and Bluebells as well as other plants coming up.

Dinner at the Thai Restaurant in Westhill brings the day to a satisfactory close. The haar has really come down now, and in patches is quite thick.
