Calalveshytta to Ny-Sulitjelma fjellstue

The shortest route to Ny-Sulitjelma is actually via the town of Sulitjelma but that requires dropping down to 130m and then a climb back up the road to Ny-Sulitjelma at 580m. But Sulitjelma has a Co-op so we've dispatched Philip & Fiona via Sulitjelma with light sacs to pick up extra provisions while the remainder of the group heads off cross-country with the rest of Philip & Fiona's gear in the pulks. With thoughts of fresh provisions, including cakes and beer we pull the pulks from 560m over a col of 810m. Not made any easier by the blue pulk now being a little top heavy and repeatedly turning over. However with good stints from Mick, Kathy, Rancidand, Petrina and myself we're soon looking down the slopes to Ny-Sulitjelma at which point there's definitely no qualms at handing the pulks over to the more competent downhillers namely Mick & Rancidand and even they managed a few spectacular fliers on the descent.

Philip and Fiona had set out before us, and had managed to time their arrival into Sulitjelma to take advantage of a local bus, but they'd got the provisions and managed to arrive at Ny-Sulitjelma an hour before us - Good effort - Nice cakes too.
