Saturday 24 March 2012: Old Salty Sea Dog
Calmac Ferries do a cracking bacon roll. I'm not getting too precious about the whole gluten free thing while away. Not going mad, but not too hung up if it's broken once in a while. Which is just as well.
A ferry crossing with some cute canine company, we did a little provisions shopping in Stornoway, since the shops will all be closed tomorrow. After that a drive around the Uig area, before meeting the person who was to show us how things work in the frankly superb holiday home overlooking Uig beach.
Seriously, this place is stunning.
A relaxed evening with a few drinks, good food, and the terrible Russell Crowe Robin Hood movie on DVD from the entertainment shelf here.
Oh, and within an hour of the ferry arriving we had our first Golden Eagle. Before another two by the 'cottage' which we'd actually been told there was a chance of.
Which was nice.
