Cooling off

It's hot work playing 3 games of touch rugby in a morning. Here is H cooling off at half time.

I'm in Collingwood (Golden Bay) for 3 days with 20 of our students, attending the Area schools' Tournament for our zone. There are 7 schools participating, each of whom have a team of 10 girls and 10 boys here.

It is an incredibly full on week, each school participates in girls volleyball, boys volleyball, girls touch, boys touch, girls softball, boys softball, boys basketball, girls basketball, netball, rugby, girls football, boys football, orienteering, clay shooting, open sea fishing, a cook off, a technology challenge, an art challenge, giant jenga, Petanque, Tug of war, archery and a disco - all in 3 days.

This was day 1 and the kids are already shattered - just imagine what walking zombies they'll be by the time they leave on Thursday!

Me, I only have to run about, cart a few kids around, take a few photos, and attend a staff function each night - and I'm not sure how I'll last the 3 days that I'll be here.

These kids are amazing!
