Saturday 31 March 2012: Monarch of the Glen
Anyone who has ever watched Monarch of the Glen will recognise this imposing mansion house which was used as the family home in the series.
It is called Ardverickie House and stands as the centrepiece of an estate on the banks of Loch Laggan. Before Queen Victoria settled on Balmoral as her Scottish hideaway, this was the place she fancied..apparently.
Can't say I blame her. I quite liked this view looking through the trees from a layby on the twisty main road.
