Monday 2 April 2012: Quintessentially British
Walking round Rydal water today, as some of my guests were keen to visit Rydal Cave, and as it started raining, albeit lightly, I spotted this couple sitting on a bench, admiring the view, and sheltering under an umbrella. Only the British! I exposed it very carefully to ensure I didn't blow any highlights in the sky, and managed to retain detail in the fabric and tranlucency of the umbrella. I did try to get slightly closer, but after only a couple of steps, the rain had stopped and they put the brolly down.
