Tuesday 3 April 2012: A bright and cheerful pansy
Despite the forecast for snow the sun is out and it's a bright, but chilly, morning here in S Lincolnshire!
Here is one of the few pansies that hasn't been trampled in Shadow's quest to catch a blackbird or any of the other living creatures that bravely make their way into our garden when the kitchen door is open (and he can get out and at 'em).
It's VERY bright on > large <
I had hoped to post a happy picture of him basking in Maud's praises today (see Shadow's Appeal if you don't know the story) however her response was just a little less than he was hoping for and he didn't want me to post a photo of him with a tear in his eye - he does have his pride, you know. I'm sure that when he "gets his head around it" as they say in the modern vernacular he will be fine. This was his first foray into the world of romance and she didn't dismiss him out of hand - where there's bonios and tennis balls, there's hope!!!!
A BIG thank you to everyone who helped us hit the spotlight page for the very first time yesterday - Maud was there too but she is a regular visitor to that page so much more used to the limelight!
