A Plumbers Wife!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh

I will begin this with telling you that I have just spent 15 minutes writing my journal entry for today and when I clicked preview, it lost the whole bloody lot. Which was just the ICING ON THE BLOODY CAKE for today.

Track Day.

Disappointment.

I'm not even going to go into the detail that I had done previously, but lets just say that with a new group booked in every half hour, and the sum total of the track time being 15 minutes with instructor (1 lap him driving then 10 minutes of the client, then feedback ready for single seater laps), then rapid change of helmets and into single seaters for 15 minutes on track, then 5 minutes debrief and then done, I felt that Corin did not have the real benefit or value of the £180 that I paid for the track 'day' for his Christmas present last year!

To add insult to injury, after his first lap in the single seater, the car proved to be faulty - it conked out (technical term) and then would not re-start, even when the instructors came out to it (and to rescue Corin) - somebody hadn't refuelled it properly. They did give him the chance to go out with the next group, but to be honest, he was that unsettled, and frankly p***ed off, that he just decided he'd had enough.

A lot of sitting around waiting at the start (nearly an hour as we were told to get there early, but then found that we didn't need to), a group leader who was loud and quite rude (and who I had to 'step away' from because he was deserving of a smack in the chops) and a total of 1/2 driving (assuming the car was working) - all in all, a great value day out....

wish we'd stayed home and watched the Grand Prix!

Although, it didn't rain - one good thing at least.
