Blue Heron Taking Off

It was a day off for Ian so he, Steve, Arvin and I spent the day together. He is a birder so we went to places where he could see and photograph birds. We went to Birch Bay and to Semiahmoo Spit. That's where we spotted this Blue Heron. We took quite a few photos and then Steve gently encouraged the bird to take off to another spot. That's when I got this photo. Check it out in large.
