Catty Face

I've been trying to photograph a Short Eared Owl for the past month or so at home. There have been a pair frequenting the field our house overlooks but a combination of poor organisation and bad luck meant i have never got a decent picture.

I've spotted a couple of them up here on Orkney where they are known as 'Catty Faces'. So when i saw one on a fence post just off the road to day we did a quick U-turn and followed it up a lane. Luckily he didn't seen to be too worried about us so we got quite close.
