Desperately seeking

Sunday 8 April 2012: Allan Bank

Today Chippy and I went to this National Trust Property overlooking Grasmere. At the moment this property is undecorated and "unfurnished", in the process of raising money for its restoration.

Each room had a couple of chairs and a table for visitors to take a rest and enjoy a free cuppa. Chippy is in consultation with the NT over making items for them from their own felled trees.

A very lovely little property I could feel very at home in, as had Mary and William Wordsworth along with their children and friend Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
