Thursday 12 April 2012: Autumn crocus

Went for a walk in the Botanical Gardens today, rather rudely interrupted by a 4.6 earthquake. No one seemed very worried, it's got to be over 5 now before anyone really gets upset, although the younger tourists were enjoying the adventure experience apparently!

Luckily I'd finished taking this or my tripod might have fallen over. And I'm not very good about using a tripod, so that would have put me off again.

These crocuses (or should that be croci?) always make me think of my mother in law who loved them
