Thursday 12 April 2012: Lark ascending...

... actually it's just gone off the image, amazing how they just fly up vertically with a mighty amount of twittering. There were two of them, just hovering miles above us. We walked up into the wild and across a small ridge - worth biggifying - and found this sacrifical virgin. A quick glimspe of the beard but I'm still working on a close up. We ended up at Annabel's cafe for a slice of chocolate cake and Earl Grey. She hadnt seen the beard before and said she liked it but wouldnt want to kiss it!!! Not sure she'd been invited!
What a strange DVD we watched last night - Dogtooth. Greek and very surreal about a father who keeps his family completely cut off from the outside world; an outsider is brought in to meet the needs of the teenage son and it all goes horribly wrong. Rotten Tomatoes, the review site, was raving about it but I couldnt really recommend it. Tonight we might go and see the Hunger Games if I'm not too snotty.
