New Restaurant

The Grassland Yellow Finches, Sicalis luteola, were very glad to discover this new restaurant today! C made this one and hung it yesterday after the 'winter garden' was created. I watched them through the opened window of the glazed in veranda, they were a wee bit careful at first, but then they turned up, one after the other, and just after I took this shot, a cheeky little Laughing Dove (Spilopelia senegalensis) landed right in the middle of the feeder, the poor wee finches were so shocked , they disappeared in all directions!
